The Reserve at the End of Lake Annecy

The Bout du Lac Reserve is a wetland area of over 80 hectares, located on the shores of Lake Annecy in Doussard. Classified as a Natura 2000 site, this protected area teems with abundant and exceptional flora and fauna. Indeed, the variety of habitats—from forests and wet meadows to terrestrial and aquatic reedbeds and alkaline peat bogs—fosters the development of a rich, rare, and sensitive ecosystem . Informative panels reveal all the secrets of these natural treasures. A peaceful stroll that feels like the end of the world! Accessible to all year round.

Cave and waterfall of Seythenex

In the Bauges Mountains Regional Natural Park, at the foot of the Sambuy peak , discover a magnificent natural site. Accompanied by a guide, you'll venture into the heart of the mountain to observe these caverns and learn about their formation. Back on the surface, paths and walkways lead you to discover the power of the water and the dramatic 45-meter plunge of the Seythenex waterfall . Thrill-seekers can take a zipline ride to soar above the site. A different and even more spectacular experience! Accessible from April to September.

An event not to be missed

The Cabin Festival

The Cabins Festival , now in its tenth year and enjoying growing success, is a festival that lies at the intersection of architecture and landscape. These architect-designed cabins , selected from hundreds of projects from around the world , are made entirely of local wood and blend seamlessly into the landscape, nestled in the heart of nature : by lakes or rivers, on a body of water, in the forest, or along a path. It's an invitation to observe the surrounding nature from inside the cabin, to reflect on humanity's place in its environment and its impact on the natural world, but also to rediscover the magic of childhood, where the cabin was synonymous with escape and refuge. Reconnect with your inner child and explore these artistic and poetic projects!
