The Thônes Cœur des Vallées Tourist Office is committed to reconciling tourism and the environment every day. Convinced that quality hospitality depends on preserving our surroundings, we have implemented numerous concrete actions both in our offices and in the field. Discover how, through simple actions and thoughtful organization, we are reducing our impact to better preserve the beauty of our region.
Sustainable Resource & Waste Management
- Responsible printing: Use of FSC, PEFC or recycled paper. Systematic black and white printing, double-sided, as needed and in controlled quantities.
- Circular economy: Use of unused paper as scrap paper, recycling of cardboard and used toners.
- Selective sorting: Daily sorting practice by the entire team.
- Events and hospitality: Use of reusable cups and deployment of the cargo bike for our mobile reception.
- Document lifecycle: Brochure stocks are readjusted annually and the remaining brochures are systematically sorted at the end of the season.
Energy sobriety
- Controlling consumption: Systematic switching off of lights and computers at the end of the day or during meetings.
- Thermal comfort: Regulated temperature in offices (heating never exceeding 21°C).
- Signage: Using digital screens to relay news, thus limiting the use of paper posters.
Digital sobriety
- Digital hygiene: Regular deletion of emails, limitation of sending photos and non-essential emails.
- Digitalization: Priority is given to digital and downloadable versions of our documentation.
Mobility & Travel
- Pooling resources: Systematic carpooling for all travel to meetings outside the office.
