Tips and Suggestions
A ticket purchased on the Morette website entitles you to free entry to "Mémoire du Maquis" located on the Glières plateau for 48 hours.
A major place of memory and transmission of the history of the resistance, the Morette site brings together the departmental museum of the Haute-Savoie resistance, the departmental deportation memorial and the Glières National Necropolis.
Between Thônes and La Balme-de-Thuy, the Morette site is dedicated to the memory of the Resistance and the Second World War in Haute-Savoie.
The Glières National Necropolis: Created in April 1944 to bury 105 resistance fighters who died in combat, it is managed by the National Office for Veterans and War Victims.
The Haute-Savoie Departmental Resistance Museum: Designed by former resistance fighters in 1964, this museum traces the history of the Glières maquis and the liberation of Haute-Savoie.
The departmental deportation memorial: Founded in 1965 by the Association of Deportees, Internees and Families of Haute-Savoie, it recalls the deportation of resistance fighters from Haute-Savoie and presents testimonies on the concentration camp environment.
Tours and activities for all audiences are offered by the Department's team of cultural mediators.

Family package: 1 paid child entry (+8 years) entitles you to 1 reduced adult rate.
Free: 1st Sunday of the month, children under 8, people with disabilities and their accompanying adults, school and university groups, memorial associations, veterans and military personnel, 27th BCA personnel, teachers and professors, journalists, group escorts (limited to 1 for every 10 paying entries), members of ICOM and AGCCPF, tourism professionals and tour guides.
